Garrett stage 2 installed

I got it installed yesterday, install went real easy. The only problem was trying to get the air out of the coolant system. The guys on here got me straightened out real fast. The spool up is real nice and quick. The sound is awesome when stepping on it but not much change when just cruising with little go pedal being applied. Overall real happy so far. I will know more when I get too hook to our camper this spring or summer and see how it cools when towing.

Hey who did you purchase your Garret turbo from? And by any chance do you know the size of the stage 3?

I got it from Tom at turbo resource. He has been a great guy to deal with. I think he said the stage 3 was a 64.5. I have pulled our camper twice now and the egt's stay around 1400 max unless I am lugging it. That was on revo #5. I just changed to sw #9 today and I am going to pull with it maybe next weekend.

1400 max is bad for sustained periods. sounds like you should have gotten the stage 3

Yes thats too hot for the timing a Smaty puts in. 1300 is the max sustained you should run, with very short bursts to 1350 being okay.

I can't hardly (unless I really really really try on a HOT day) get above 1250* with my Smarty Jr.
