Fuel Solenoid problems

Fuel Solenoid problems
My fuel Solenoid will not work. I have replace the shutdown relay on the firewall, the engine heater solenoid on the firewall, the solenid, and I have switched the relays in the engine distribution. The fuse in the engine distribution box is still good as well. The red wire going to the solenoid shows 12 volts, the white wire shows about 10.4 volts. I have tried to jump start it to get more volts and that doesn't seem to work and the adjustment on the solenoid is correct. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. This is a 95 12 valve cummings.

Re:Fuel Solenoid problems
Check the linkage and be sure it is free and not binding or sticking. I had some non-shutdown problems once due to dirty/sticky linkage conditions.

Re:Fuel Solenoid problems
I had the same problem on the exact same engine. Took me several LONG months to figure out the problem.

There should be a blue wire going away from your driver's side battery. Check to see if it is broken. Mine had a burnt out fuse. Replaced the 40 cent fuse and works like new. Found this out AFTER it cost me nearly $800 in "repairs" I didn't need.
