Frame rail cracked???
Hello fella's
Not a member of the chapter yet but have sent an e-mail to hopefuly fix that soon!!
Wondering if any of you had ever had the problem of your frame rail cracking at the PS pump?? Put my big fuel line on the other day and noticed that at the rear bottom bolt, the rail had broken all around it acualy had chunks missing I had noticed before that the steering wheel had gone off center but chalked that up to the crappy linkage. I guess I'll be plating it over tomorrow just wondering if any one else had this happen?
Thankfully my new injectors came today too so along with fixing that I get to try out the +125 jammers so at least I can look foward to seeing what they can do for me after I get it all done! God my neihbors are really going to love me now

Just did a search on the net. It seems that several companies make a steering stabilizer kit which adds strength to the steering box area and keeps things from twisting up front. If you run bigger tires it seems to be a pretty common upgrade to extend the life of the steering box. Good luck.
I don't know how good you are at welding, but there was a great thread on this forum about welding on the frame...if you search "frame welding" you will probably find it.

Thanks for the info Hillcountry I'll have to do some research stabilizer kit we go to OBX alot and driving out there on the beach is prob what did it. You get alot of bump steer from hitting other peoples ruts. Love seeing the peoples faces as you drive by them stacks blowing black and my great dane drooling out the passangers window! LOL
I can handle the welding part pretty good... own a steel erection company so thank god I've got about there is to fuse two peices of metal together. That and 18 years of practice lol. I'm probly going to cut out the fatigued area and replate it just so there won't be any more problems with it. So if anyone in the chapter needs a hand welding something let me know I'll be glad to help out.

Ouch, blood in the oil...hmmm wonder how that would show up on an oil analysis?
Glad to hear you got those injectors in. If you ever come up to the cave bring your puppy, I've got a 12yr old boston marked dane now (just waiting for her last days). I love Danes!

LOL Sea if I brough him he would love it!! I was under the hood doing the 6th injector and felt the truck shake thought that my wife was messing with me. Popped my head up and see him looking at me through the windshield sitting in the passanger seat. I can't go anywear without him climbing into the truck he sees me get the keys and he meets me at the door wanting to go.
He's only 8 1/2 months and weights 150 lbs already hes a neopolitan blue. We have a Boston Terrier she is 9 yr and weights 15 lbs and she tears the H*LL out of him when he gets a zoomee and messes with her.
