DTR Breakroom: 20 June 2010 - 26 June 2010

Wow, It's been awhile since I've had the pleasure of opening up one of these for business.

Beer, coffee(black of course), sweat tea, some foo, water, and protein shakes are available. Others upon request.

Evening all.

I thought you hadda work last night?

Morning everyone.

It's Sunday, June 20th.

On this day in 1782 - The U.S. Congress approved the Great Seal of the United States.

1793 - Eli Whitney applied for a cotton gin patent. He received the patent on March 14. The cotton gin initiated the American mass-production concept.

1863 - West Virginia became the 35th state to join the U.S.

1898 - The U.S. Navy seized the island of Guam enroute to the Phillipines to fight the Spanish.

1923 - France announced it would seize the Rhineland to assist Germany in paying its war debts.

1941 - The U.S. Army Air Force was established, replacing the Army Air Corps.

1943 - Race-related rioting erupted in Detroit. Federal troops were sent in two days later to end the violence that left more than 30 dead.

1963 - The United States and Soviet Union signed an agreement to set up a hot line communication link between the two countries.

1977 - The Trans-Alaska Pipeline began operation.

1983 - The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that employers must treat male and female workers equally in providing health benefits for their spouses.

1994 - In Los Angeles, O.J. Simpson pled innocent to the killing of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.

1997 - The tobacco industry agreed to a massive settlement in exchange for major relief from mounting lawsuits and legal bills.

2001 - In Texas, Andrea Yates was arrested for drowning her five children in a bathtub.

2002 - The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the execution of mentally retarded murderers was unconstitutionally cruel. The vote was 6 in favor and 3 against.

New coffee is on because I drank all the stuff Josh made. It was goooood!

Hey Scott - - you are up and at'em early today. Good man.

HAPPY PAPA'S DAY TO ALL THE DADS OUT THERE.

Sunday - - good day. Mama had some purdies for me to open. Wowen are amazing. I thrash around, struggle, worry and try to find something for her on her birthday, Christmas, mama's day, anniversary - - I always wonder did I make a 3 pointer, a 2 pointer or only a free throw - - or maybe threw it out of bounds. She is always excited but I just don't KNOW what to get like she does. I don't need anything (except a new Porsche ), but she finds something I can use. Amazing.

OK, gotta go get my new stuff on and head to church. Have a good urn. The ph00 smells good. Gone,

Bob

Sheeple (a portmanteau of "sheep" and "people") is a term of disparagement in which people are likened to sheep, a herd animal. The term is used to describe those who voluntarily acquiesce to a suggestion without critical analysis or research. They undermine their own individuality and may willingly give up their rights.

I thought you hadda work last night?

I was supposed to but took a vacation day. Finished a ton of yard work and tree removals then got something in my eye, so I could not "see" going to work.

Happy fathers day to all you Dads out there.

Going to go play frisbee golf with some kids in awhile. Hope they take it easy on me. Later,
