Dose any one have noisy brakes?

Dose any one have noisy brakes? I called around for aftermarket brake pads but NAPA only had semi metallic pad and they said they would still squeal. I took the off (rear squeal only) and they were glazed so I sanded them down and noise gone but prolly not for long?

Danm exhaust brake works too good!!!!

Yeah, mine squeal at a certain pressure everytime (started a few thousand miles ago). If I press the peddle a little harder, it goes away.

I only have 13,500 miles on the truck so far and can't believe that the pads would be worn out already.

Must be dirty rotors or something.

before driving yourselves insane, try taking the brake calipers off, and putting some disc brake quiet, or other silicone brake grease on the contact points between the pad backing plate and the calipers/pistons.

Also, make sure that the slides are functioning properly.

This has helped on a lot of stuff that I have worked on over the years. And yeah, pad squeal makes me slightly nuts as well.

Just add brake pressure to make it quit. My last two 1 ton Rams did the same thing and neither ever had much brake wear.
