Well I'm getting impatient or motivated depending on how you look at it. My body guy hasn't had as much time to work on it as I hoped

I block sanded the primer on one side of the cab tonight after work.

stuff that go done over the past couple weeks.

braced drivers crack prone spot, this one hadn't cracked yet so I didn't go crazy on it.

then I started working on the door,
cut out speaker hole to fit 6x9 from the back side with no interference. This also made working in the door easier.

lower hing area brace pannel cut from the old door and cleaned up.

cleaned up inside door the best I could

then glued the together with panel bonding adhesive.

and reinstalled the plate after cleaning up a bit.

The lower hinge area took much longer than it probably looks like. I'm also not really sure how it will hold up it's kind of an experiment but in theory it should work well.

Also might be worth noting no one working on this truck is over the age of 25.

1/2 inch door bar welded in.

Should have at least part of it in paint by the end of the weekend.

and for those with a shape eye you'll see the dents in the back of the cab. I did no body work above the stripe on the box, or areas that I felt I will likely hit at some point using it like a truck. Also some of the hidden areas like this panel didn't get worked.

unsee but brake lines are run (over 25 feet of line on these trucks) and temp probe is installed.

Also tonight I started mocking up the PS intercooler and decided to axe that project for now. I pretty much need this truck driveable/trailerable in 2 1/2 weeks so that time can be better spent.

Thanks guys I can't wait for this to be over, I've been leaving the house at 7 to go to work then going directly from working on other peoples cars to this until 9:30 or 10 every night for the past few weeks then spending all day sat and sun on it I'm getting a little burnt out.

That said more progress.

For anyone that's never done a two tone they at least triple the time it takes do a paint job. In this case every thing said and done took 8 hours if it was one color it would have been more like 2.

Core support primed

This turned out to cause issues being primed in red but we were out of blue and gray.
I painted this myself tonight(first time painting) and ran out of color before the tone got right. It has the same amount of coats on the front side and an extra coat of color where it's visible but it's dark. I knew after the first coat it wasn't going to match well, I think one more coat would have really helped but we used up the last of one tint mixing up this batch of paint and you just don't get that on a sunday up here. Fortunately the hood is closed most of the time so I'm not going to worry about it.

Is this plastic line routed right for the clutch?

with the column out it sits dead center in the firewall hole for the steering column it's been to long since I took it apart and I don't have another one to look at. Someone with a manual please help me out and tell me if this goes over or under the column. It's pretty easy to change right now with the dash still out and wiring not hooked up, hoping to have those hooked up in the next couple days though.
