Re:Cruice control & Edge easy
I'm not sure if anyone else is aware, but there is a RECALL (Not a TSB) for '03 trucks for a cruise control issue. After using the cruise control for extended periods of time, there is a high idle experienced. I got the notice in the mail, but my truck doesn't have the problem. The solution is to update the ECM with updated software. Here is a link to the recall:

Re:Cruice control & Edge easy
Its Safety Recall CO2. I thought most trucks built within the last 7-8 months or so already had it fixed. If not, DC would still be flooding the mailboxes with snail mail. I had mine reflashed a few months ago. I never had the symptoms, hence my reluctance to fix something that wasn't broke.

Re:Cruice control & Edge easy
I have the EZ and no problems at all with the cruise, empty or pulling it works perfect. Maybe with the new box the problem will go away.

Re:Cruice control & Edge easy
My rig is fine, but I bought it back in the middle of June, so who knows. I still got the letter though.

Re:Cruice control & Edge easy
My cruise control holds a steady speed with very little variation at all. Also when resuming or going up or down hills, the change in speed is very gradual, it doesn't put on power very strongly at all. I'm assuming this is in the interest of fuel economy.

Re:Cruice control & Edge easy
The CO2 recall only applied to the trucks equipped with the six speed. Ram lon ON has the 47RE. I never experienced any of the symptoms but had the reflash done anyway also.

Re:Cruice control & Edge easy
I received CO2 recall the mail several months ago. It applied to the 5 speed and the 6 speed. I didn't have the described problem with cruise. After the re-flash I have experienced the check engine light coming on periodically. If I shut off the engine and then re-start it the light is off. There are no codes recorded so it is a blip in the software.
