Johny5.................you have some nice looking 1st gen crews with Diesels running around in your province. Should look the guys up and maybe you could hook up with them.
Once gentleman had a crew cab body (redone) listed on Craigslist, that I was thinking of purchasing but I was too far into mine.
I decided to graft the 85 crew body onto a 93 4x4 extended cab frame/chasis. Had to modify the floors at the rear to accomodate the difference in the frames and cut out a notch for the fuel sending unit; its all assembly now.

I bought my crew cab from Colorado and drove it home.
because i didnt want to do a ground up resto, but thats not been working out

What a nice lookin truck... I think I've posted mine before.. but here it is again.
it needs some love.. bed is trashed, needs some cancer floor repair and desperately needs the whole drivetrain from my 1990 W250...

On our 85 cc 2wd, using parts from a 92 2wd 5spd, we had to redrill holes and move it back about 2 inchs, The motor mount we had to pull from the 92 on the drivers side?? i think and reweld as it was different or somethign was different about it. enless we done work we didn't have to do...

its a banks unit. the PO built the truck, i bought it from him. he trimmed the backside of the grille to get it to fit and not use the gross tubular grille that came with the kits.

OK keeping this tread on the first page.
My next question is: What did you do for the drive shaft steady bearing mount?
Im trying to use all the stuff from the 93 club cab 4x4 in my 85 short box CC 4x4
I tried moving the cross member to where it worked perfect but then the gas tank would not fit.
the best I have come up with is to flip the mount over and move it back till its close to the tank then make a piece of flat plate to bolt to the mount that extends past the mount to bolt on the steady bearing
, **** more holes to dril in the frame
