cortex superchip - Dodge Diesel

Well I just got my 04 3500 today, and with it a cortex superchip that has never been updated. Are these good chips? Any advice or insight you guys can give me I would appreciate it. Should I update it, then run it, or run it and see what happens? Is their a way to save the current programs on my laptop incase I want to go back?

I am going to be taking this truck from Mt back to Ca the end of this week.

You have to put the truck back to the original program and then update the superchip, then you can reload onto truck. Lots of power in power mode, but don't tow in that mode, use the tow mode.
