Captain Chair - Is mine broke or functioning properly?

I have the captains chairs in my truck, and the passenger side will only recline and lock in one position. According to my wife, that position is too far back, and it hurts her back to sit that way. I've messed with it and can only get it to lock in one spot too. My side reclines as well, but I was afraid to mess with it to test to see if it was the same way because when I first got the truck, it would not lock at all, so once I got it locked, I've never messed with it since.

I'm just wondering if its broke or if that is the way it came. That answer will obviously affect if I go in for surgery or not......

The pass side should recline in as many position as the drivers.
I'm thinking you're going to have to tear into it.
Maybe check with your local upholstery shop and see if they've run into it in the past.

Yeah they should both recline to various positions, at least mine do.
