Canukker Fuel Mileage
Just kinda curious what my fellow Canucks are seeing for mileage out of their trucks when running our winter diesel?

At 100 klicks, I'm seeing 15.5 mpg. At 140 klicks, I'm seeing 13 mpg. Kinda seems a little low, but the power is definitely there...

Rod

Re:Canukker Fuel Mileage
Fellow Americans that fill their tank into the top spout, taking 15 minutes to fill on average, get the top of 18 MPG and the low of 15 in the woods hunting

Hunter

Yeah Rod I got 17.5 on the computor in US. gallons and I filled it up and worked it out to 20.99 miles per Imperial Gallon and If you take the 17.5 X 1.2 to convert imperial to US gal.s it is pretty close. This was pretty well all hiway at 110 to 120Kpm.s and the truck had 1100kilos on it then I have 2300 now and the computor says 18.3 mostly but not all hiway but I have not figured out the milage by filling it up yet(milage are we allowed to say that in Canada anymore or do we have to say kilometerage).

Or Canuck fuel?

After reading the US mileage threads, I wanted to see what others were getting from our Canuck winter diesel. From Driver's post, it looks like the HO really doesn't like our winter fuel. I wonder how the Standard Output fares??????

Rod

Rod
Our truck is the SO Auto. Being our daily driver an automatic was the best choice for us.
Yes the winter blend seems to be tuff on the mileage. See what happens in the spring. I am also wondering if the mileage will improve when the transmission is fixed today.
See 47re overheating.
Sorry for the confusion
Re:Canukker Fuel Mileage
Been geeting around 17 MPG according to the overhead, but that's still on the dealer supplied fuel. Will be filling up tomorrow or Wednesday so we'll see what happens. Today was the first go round in the skiff of snow ... lots of fender benders here today, took some extra time on the way into work to see how the '03 likes the ice and the confidence level is pretty good!

Rods truck is still getting in the 15 mpg range and it seems to stop at 170 KMH.
I've got it now and I don't mind the new interior at all.
I am concerned with that grill...flexes easily.

Re:Canukker Fuel Mileage
Summer mileage 18.5 winter mileage 15 per gallon. You get less mileage the colder it gets that is just a fact of life. Your home furnace will put out more heat on #2 diesel than #1 diesel.
