BF goodrich AT KOs

Has anyone had problems with BF Goodrich AT KOs ?

Americas tire web site has a reviews section and see a bunch of people complaining about their tires. "They wear fast , they wont stay balanced they vibrate etc". Mostly looks like people with little SUV, suburus, ford rangers etc. Maybe they are just city folks that useualy drive cars. But most reviews of people with big trucks love them. Maybe the small size tires are different??

I am going to get a new set 265/75/16 "E"s

Ive always ran BFG on my old truck even 35"ers and I always liked them and get good wear milage out of them. I think they are a pretty **** good tire

Bought a set of the 285/70/17's that were rated "D" in November 2007 from Costco. They have about 25,000 miles on them and still look new. Had them on my '03 3500 QCSB and moved them to my '06 2500 QCSB when I traded in my '03.

The last long trip I did with them was from Boise, ID to San Diego. Drove down the 93 through eastern Nevada (Jackpot, Ely, down to eastern Las Vegas) and back with zero problems. There was more noise from my turbo than there was road noise from the tires. I've had them in fair weather, in the mud, snow/packed snow on asphalt (hardly any plowing in Idaho), wet roads, sand in SoCal, national forest fire roads, and high mountain passes in Idaho.

So far they're a great all around tire. My wife swears by them, and won't drive my truck ('08 3500) because it doesn't have them.

im running 35s on my truck. good tire. just wish they still made the 35x12.5x16.5 (why does everyone hate the 16.5" rim?) have to find new rims before they wear out.

the only draw back is they love to fling gravel.

Can't beat them for durability. I was one of the "vibe" owners. Neither Discount nor BFG would address the problem. Problem solved with BFG's selling on Crailgslist and Toyos going on. E rated. 1/4 the lead to balance them. That being said ,you shouldn't have any issues with a stock sized,E rated BFG. The larger the tire, the bigger the need for a precision built tire.

Running 235/85/16 E's on Brownie, decent tire, about 30K on them, probably will get another 15-20K.

No problems yet.

I was looking at the other reviews of other tires like michelins on the America tire web site , and see the exact same persons reviews on other tires.
I think those bad reviews arent even about BFG tires. Their Reviews are all bogus

I always had good luck with the wear on the BFG A/T KOs. The main drawbacks were that they loved to sling any small pieces of gravel (especially the small pieces in asphalt) because the tread pattern was so tight. They also never cleaned out well in the mud unless you spun them really hard. If you got into the mud with slow speed, they would just fill up and get slick. Once you started to spin them fast, they would clean out and send everything skyward (and back on the hood) and you would get traction back.

Got 70k out of my last set in 285/70/17. No issues with them. Could have gotten a little more but needed a heavier weight rating and the E in that size weren't available yet.

I run them on 3 different vehicles, 3 different sizes, ALL have gotten me excellent mileage/wear. All 3 vehicles are 4x4's, do off road mileage equal to at least 1/4 of the odometer total. The perform well in every situation I throw th them. They DO throw some stones, good excuse for mud flaps, stops the problem with stone chips on the rocker panels.

I run 315-70-17's on the Dodge, just great tire for all of what I do.

Worst tire I have ever run. 16k miles and they were smoked.Rotated 4 times,I sell tires for a living and will never run then again. Have run Michelin LTX AT2 loved them and now have Hankook Dyna-pro ATM and are twice the tire for 1/3 less.

93K miles on my truck, on my second set. Never any problems, no wobbles, no balance issues, nothing. No regrets at all, when this set wears out I'll get them again.

I've had good luck with mine. 285 - E rated. Last set lasted right at 50k before I decided to replace them. This set is at 40k and still going strong. I'm using counteract balance beads in them and that's been working well too as far as balancing... no vibration issues. Same comments about gravel the others have had, but its only a minor annoyance.

Had the E rated 285's. Wore out very fast. Less than 50k. I am running the goodyear silent armors now. They seem to be doing better. However, the bfg's were better in mud. Other than that, I'll replace these with the same silent armors if/when they wear out.
