What is the best setting to run the predator - Dodge Diesel

I have the preadtor/puck combo and i was wondering what the best setting or tune to run it on. Like the stacker tunes or is there something better? And how do you do it, change the tune on your predator? thanks

Best for what??? I like the 100hp for all-around and extreme for real fun. 100 is all a stock auto will take. You might also need turbo and exh. upgrades to keep egt down. Make sure everything is turned off on the truck then plug it in and the display will walk you thru the steps. Craig

You should be fine on the Performance setting. Extreme may be more than your stock 03 turbo can handle. I much prefer the non-stacker tunes over the stackers and I don't even use the Puck. Have the truck and all accessories off, plug the Predator in to the OBDII plug under the steering wheel, and follow the directions. It takes about 12-15 minutes to download a new tune so make sure you have the windows down so you don't sweat to death.....

what about gauges? mine come on when i turn the key foward. do i need to unplug the power wire or is it fine? i know a/c lights and stuff but what else? im about to use a downloader for the first time too

The guages should not cause any problems. Mine don't. You have to turn the key to the "On" position to download and you will hear the LP running at times while downloading. You don't want to cause any voltage spikes or drops while you are downloading so you should not even open the door during this...

I turn off the radio, OH puter and don't touch the windows or doors. I roll down the window before I start and do it from outside the truck. That way I do whatever I want while it DLs. Craig

Oh i meant how do you or can you change the tunes on the preadtor itself and which one of thoes is the best. Sorry about that

you can go on their site,diablosport.com and download the custom tunes,they have some 200hp extreme tunes.theres ones for stacking with the puck too.whos to say what the best tune is,depends on what u want,i want milage and throttle responce,i found just that with the extreme rkl stacker.
