How do you zero the steering wheel on a 97?

Theres an adjustment collar on the drag link (from the pitman arm on the steering box to the passenger side steering knuckle). Loosten both bolts, spray the crap out of it with some PB blaster or other lubricant, then, if it doesn't turn by hand, grab ahold of it with a pipe wrench and start turning while someone else watches the steering wheel (your key should be in the on position). Just turn the collar until the steering wheel is straight with the wheels again. HTH

I remember reading a thread years ago about how to do this. Make sure your tire pressures are even and you don't have a dragging brake. Find a level piece of pavement, drive the truck straight and mark the top of the steering wheel. Park it wherever you're going to work on it with the mark at top and adjust the drag link until the wheel is centered.
