You all should be ashamed!

Talk about a sorry site. I thought I'd gotten my "go fast" days said and done with many, many moons ago when I sold the Camaro. Now you sorry individuals tell me that my ol' diesel can get up there and run with the best of 'em and I find myself getting the bug again. ARGH! I don't have the money to be making "toys" again! :P

OK.... Let's take it nice and slow. What would be your recommendations for inexpensive mods to start, with future mods in mind as the funds became available?

Re:You all should be ashamed!

First thing Tom is to get gauges. You know the ones-Pyrometer and fuel pressure at a minimum. After that, well, BOMBS AWAY!!!!! Only as your wallet or wife can afford. Jst remember the old saying "The differance between the men and the boys is the price of the toys".

Re:You all should be ashamed!

Bombing formula

1) Gauges Boost/Pyro/Fuel Pressure
2)Edge EZ or if you think a taste will make you want more a comp
3)Quality intake system I highly recommend the scotty 2
4)You will now have a good understanding of your truck by this time and can make your own choices as to where you want to go.

I also Highly recommend talking with www.wildcatdiesel.com and speak with Rod he will take good care of you.

Now its up to you the blue pill mild or the red pill wild!

BTW where are you located in canada? Im in the greater toronto area and the local wildcat dealer. I also do free installation on most everything I sell if you are interested.

Lynden.... But I commute to SARSville (get it?!) pretty much every day. I dunno.. If I start making mods to the beast, the QEW drive is going to get even more interesting. **snicker**

Re:You all should be ashamed!

It IS a freeking addiction.

The beauty of these 6cyl beasts & the members is constant R&D for go fast parts. Here you go on just 1 example ... turbos. Excellent R&D item, great subject, gets read more than most. Here I'm looking at the next step over the HX40, like JR's HX55 hybrid and the B1-B-EX4. Now Jim Fulmer's looking at PDR Stupid Twins. :P ;D

As if 700 isn't enough ... even at that level it isn't enough ... IT'S NEVER ENOUGH. :'( It's a wonderful thing.

Re:You all should be ashamed!

Tires first... Gotta get new rubber on the beast before I do anything else. Problem is, replacing all six tires always breaks the bank for a month or so. BLEH! Probably the only thing I hate about the truck.

Come spring, new gauges then will have to go from there. Between this truck and tearing down and rebuilding the bike, I should keep outa trouble for a few days.
