XZT upgrade
I've been reading all the threads and DON'T UNDERSTAND. I have the XZT tow , 65hp, If I send it in for up-grade is there any benefit, I'm looking for better fuel mileage.

In my opinion, yes. There are benefits. You can have custom programming at your fingertips, you can download the max maileage program, and you can upgrade for more horsepower as well. Everything is updatable thru the USB port on your computer. You can select several downloads to have on your computer and change them at will. The module has a faster programer that also, ( in my opinion) offers smoother and better power than the previous models. Just my .02! Hope that answers your question.

vzdude,
Thank you, I'm not really looking for more power, mostly better fuel mileage while towing Will I still be able to control it with my Commander?

I have the XZT and sent it in yesterday for the Zillaraider II XZT upgrade. My understanding is one of the downloads for the new box is the one for the Mileage Max box for better mileage. So with the new box and the Commander you could have that setting in P1 and then the 45 hp and 65 hp settings in the other two positions. This is what I intend to do with mine.

I sent mine in yesterday and since they are right down the road a couple of hundred miles I hope to have the new box by mid to late week. I will try and give a report back after I get it installed and run it a couple of days.

Yes, if you look at the USB update Page
http://www.quadzillapower.com/produc...04-07_XZT.html
You can see one of the downloads you can install is the MPG download.

As far as I know none of the boxes will increase HP by just upgrading to the Zillaraider II box. It just gives you the ability to have more options at your disposal which is what I wanted. The upgraded XZT box will still have a max of 65 hp unless I am missing something.

Where you get your power is from upgrading your XZT to a Standard, or a Race box.
The main benfit from the new X2 is a faster processor, USB update-able, and custom tuning, (aka adding a MPG tune)
You can see on the Standard X2 page, you can download a tune that has the first power level as a MPG tune, then adding horsepower after that.
