Has anyone ran this combo? Does it have to much timing?

I think it depends on if you're towing or just running around town. I ran my truck for a short time with my Edge Comp along with the ECM programmed with the high mileage software from a Smarty (it has particularly aggressive timing advance). The engine had noticeably sharper rattle, indicating significantly higher timing advance.

I had no problems at all, but I'll qualify that by saying that I didn't tow with that setup, and only ran it for a short period of time.

I don't know how much additional timing the Special X pump provides, but if you're worried about it you could retorque the stock head bolts.
