Xzillaraider owners, where is your ControlPOD mounted?

Xzillaraider owners, where is your ControlPOD mounted?
I just installed my Xzillaraider II a few days ago and put the ControlPOD in the recommended location; on top of the steering column, up against the gauge panel.
I am discovering that I really do NOT like this location at all... It's hard to reach (without putting my arm through the steering wheel) and, unless I tilt the wheel down a click or crane my neck, it's difficult to see too.
Anybody found a better mounting location and/or method???
