Xzillaraider 2 Product Info

Xzillaraider 2 Product Info Release

Ok Guys, as I mentioned elsewhere I am going to go ahead and release information about the Xzillaraider 2 that is in testing. I will not release any pricing as I am not allowed to do that. That info will be available via our website or vendors websites very soon.

Here are the changes from the regular Xzillaraider modules:

 32 bit processor
 USB Updatable
 Built In Gauge Functions (Rail Pressure, Boost and Coolant)
 Built In Warm Up Mode (without having to use the Commander)
 Over 100 downloadable Tunes for Free available on our website
 More horsepower and better throttle response due to faster processing and more resolution
 Standard Module has 5 power levels (Off, 25hp, 45hp, 65hp, 100hp)
 Race Module has 6 power levels (Off, 25hp, 45hp, 65hp, 100hp, 140hp)
 Wiring harness has built in tap locations for use with the Commander
 Wiring harness has a plug and play connector for Coolant Temperature
 When used with the Commander you do NOT have to tap any wires

We will only have the XZT and Standard part #’s for sale. To receive a Race module you will need to fill an online form out and submit it to us. We will send you Race Upgrade programming that you will download into your module via USB. Once this download is complete you will have unlimited access to the Race download page.

Ok, first lets talk about the USB updatable download page. We already have a large database of files. Each module has a “model” programmed into it as well as your serial #. This keeps you from accidentally downloading the wrong set of tuning files into your module. There is a nice tutorial that you will pop up on your first time to update your module. This installs the drivers for you. Once this is complete you will be able to update your module in around 15 seconds or less.

To give you an idea of what is available we have files that turn the warm up mode on and off. Files that are compatible with the Commander and files that are compatible with the Control Pod.

Example:

03-04 XZT Factory
03-04 XZT Factory No Warm Up
03-04 STD Stacking
03-04 STD Stacking No Warm Up
03-04 STD Stacking Multiple Power Levels 0-15 for increased resolution
03-04 Race HOT
I think you get the idea? You can use these as much and as often as you desire. Once they are downloaded to your computer you can simply just update your module and there is no need to re-download the files.

Each tuning file will put a “feature code” in the module. This allows you to use your update application to check and make sure which file you are running and any given time. Just plug it in and click “get module information”. You will see the model, serial #, software version and enabled feature code. This is simple to help you keep track of what you have done.

Now, lets talk about our upgrade or trade in program. We give you a couple of different options based on your needs and your current module. First, you must download the Xzillaraider 2 PDF from the website, print it and fill it out. This is where you will make your selection of what you want to upgrade to. Once this is complete there is a special RMA# that you must include on the package and then enclose this upgrade form inside the box and send it to us. You will receive your new module from us shortly after that. Turn around time should be same day unless we are backordered.

Here are the upgrade options for existing customers.

XZT within warranty or covered under extended warranty $XX
XZT out of warranty $XX

And NO it is not $99, I promise! If it is under warranty it is considerably less than $99

This will get you a brand new Xzillraider 2 module that is USB updatable, although you will not get the gauges or control pod. It comes with a USB cable as well. You also receive a brand new warranty as if you had just received it.

STD or Race within warranty or covered under extended warranty $XX
STD or Race out of warranty $XXX

I know, it has 3 XXX’s in the price, it is barely 3 X’s if you get my drift.

What this gets you is a brand new Xzillaraider 2 module and a brand new Control Pod that has the built in gauge functions. We will only upgrade you to exactly what you sent in. If you want to go from the STD to Race you must do this via the online form. If you want you can fill this out while you are sending your module in and you can have the update waiting on the module to arrive. You also receive a brand new warranty.

All of these upgrades will work with your existing wiring harnesses. However, if you want the newer harness you may also upgrade your old harness to this for $XX regardless of your warranty status.

What the harness will give you is an added connection for Coolant Temp that is plug_and_play. It also has built in taps or flags for the Commander to be connected into versus having to use a tap. This is not a requirement for the module or the gauges to work, however if you do not use this harness you will not be able to read Coolant temperature with the Control Pod. All new modules sold will have this harness included in the package.

Worse case scenario, you will be out less than $200 on a standard or Race module and less than $150 on an XZT.

When I say worse case scenario that would be starting with an old module that is out of warranty and you choose to upgrade the module and the wiring harness.

Also keep in mind that this is not re-flashing or updating your old module. This is a brand new module totally different in appearance, size, and ability.

Because of the low cost we are only doing these upgrades direct for the customer. This is not a money making upgrade for us. It is simply a way to keep many happy existing customers and gain new ones.

I think this is a pretty thorough explanation. If you have questions please feel free to ask away.

Just a rough timeline puts these modules at 45-60 days at the earliest for production. We are not even finished beta testing at this point but, we are not foreseeing any difficulties during this time. The XZT modules will be available sooner than the Standard modules.

Now for the part #’s

XZ2000 03-04 XZT Dodge
XZ2001 03-04 STD Dodge
XZ2002 04.5-07 XZT Dodge
XZ2003 04.5-07 STD Dodge

There are no part numbers needed for any upgrades. This is done via 2 different forms.

Ok, I have been good but, I have to tell you that there is another phase to this coming. I cannot release any info but, our testers can tell you it is the coolest! This is very tight lipped and no info will be leaked prior to its release. It is something that you will be able to add to the Xzillaraider 2 modules, well sort of. It is not something that will ever come standard, it will always be an add on but, these modules are already programmed to accept this secret and very cool thing!

Can you give out any of the parameters or capabilities of the race module ? Sorry but, I don't know what it does to begin with.

Wow, interesting!
I just got my XZT as well.

Question for you Quad, what power levels with the XZT module have?
Will it have the same benefits that you listed above?
You were talking about the Race and standard modules, but didn't say about the XZT.
Thanks!

From what I got out of his post the XZT will have the USB on it and a few programs to choose from like with timing or without. And one with the warm up feature enabled and some possible others. Looks like you will not get the control pod as the XZT has never been adjustable unless with a commander.

So it looks like you gain the USB, ability to change tunes at home, and warm up mode along with the improved hardware mentioned but no more than 65hp. And one more, a new warranty.

I think most of the questions have been answered correctly so far. I will answer a couple that I think need some clarification though.

I think I asked you this already but, is the speed/rev limiter dealt with ? also, will this new set up work on late model 06.5-07's

Can you give out any of the parameters or capabilities of the race module ? Sorry but, I don't know what it does to begin with.
Speed and rev limiter are stock. We don't mess with that. It does work on 06.5-07 trucks.

The base module does duration, pressure and timing. Now, with the available downloads you have a lot of options. Pressure only, more duration down low, less duration etc. Lots of options to just play with.

Wow, interesting!
I just got my XZT as well.

Question for you Quad, what power levels with the XZT module have?
Will it have the same benefits that you listed above?
You were talking about the Race and standard modules, but didn't say about the XZT.
The XZT will still be 65hp. WIth the Commander it will still be 25-45-65 and OFF. The benefits are the same sort of. You have the USB updatability to play with tunes. Stacking tunes, smoke tunes, no smoke tunes etc are all in place. You will not get the gauges since the XZT does not use a control pod. We still want the XZT to be our flagship product for economy and adding the control pod to it and other stuff required to run all of it would make it less economical.

Just FYI here are the tune counts. Remember with each step up in module we have more options to play with and that is why the tune count goes up.

03-04 XZT = 10 tuning files
03-04 STD = 17 tuning files
03-04 Race = 20 tuning files
04.5-07 XZT = 14 tuning files
04.5-07 STD = 23 tuning files
04.5-07 Race = 26 tuning files.

That is a total of 110 options for the Dodge CR trucks. Now, I am not saying we will do more or how many more but, this is what will be available the day the product is released for sale.

The bottom line is this is a similar product to what we had with more bells and whitles, more flexibility and more adjustability. It is a first class product and the cost is hardly any more.
