Xrf Ball Joints

I just installed a set yesterday. The truck drives fine, no wandering or any other problems. Only time will tell how they wear. It's hard to beat the price but price isn't everything. My stockers had 82,000 miles on them if these last 100,000 I will have gotten my moneys worth.

I'm about to pull the trigger on getting a full set. Only thing, why is the top joint sealed and the bottom one grease-able? Anyone find out the reason from XRF?

I'm putting XRF's in my 06 as soon as I can get some time off to get it done.

Here is a pretty good diy list:

http://www.doghousediesel.com/id13.html

I've got a set of XRFs on the shelf waiting for warmer weather. I am going to upgrade the steering at the same time. 240,000 on originals and still looking and driving OK. I just figure it is time.

I'm thinking about it too, but waiting for the tie rods to be finished so they can ship everything at once. Can't complain about stockers lasting 425,000 though !!
