I got the Bi-xenon kit and am about to install them. I have one question on the wiring. There are two capacitors that are on the high beam and low beam posotive wires and one of them has a black wire that is not connected. Did you connnect this wire to annything?

It might be a ground wire?

Or does it go parallel with the factory plug ground(brown)?

Installed the kit tonight and have acouple of questions. I grounded the capacitor that had the two black wires and still have the lamp out. Did you do anything with the passenger factory plug? Do you have a 3 to 5 second delay when clicking back to low beams?

These things really cut thru the snow, there are great.

The caps are probably for RF filtering. HID can be very noisy.

Did you install 3 ohm load resistors on the factory low and high beam wiring harness to turn off the lamp out indicator?

Ya to make the lampout go away you need to put resistor on both of the stock headlight socket

Thats weird....with mine, I plugged everything in as per the instructions...and it works great. No LAMP OUT light, but yes I also have the delay between high's and low's...kinda annoying!

I don't have a lamp out light on mine either, but the third time I switch from low to high with the engine running, the low beams go out completely. I have to shut off the lamp switch all together to reset the system.

I got some resistors yesterday and are going to install a cap on the relay to eliminate the flicker and delay when switching back to low beam.

Hope this fixes it. I just wish these trucks weren't so high tech.

I can figure out if my headlights are burned out without all this crap!

Did you have the two capacitors on the high and low beam. Xenongate said that these are for the lamp out. Did you have to connect the black wire from one capacitor to ground, I did not have any instructions on the capacitors.

Can the guys that installed the xenongate kit please explain the install that you had so I can see if mine was different?

I just plugged the harness into the factory headlamp plugs, grounded the two eye terminals, and hooked power to the battery. I had to remove the little jumper wire from the harness to get the high beams to work.

My harness had the caps. One per side.

06's are different than previous models due to the TIPM.

You may have to install resistors to get the lamp out light off. There is tons of info on the net regarding other Dodge/ Chrysler models and HID's.

I have yet to get mine working flawlessly. Let you guys know when I do unless someone beats me to it.

Yes I have the CAPS, I connected the black wire to ground. The only wire you need to power to is on the Relay harness.

I wired the relay first...power from the distribution block, ground on the fender, plugged into the driver side headlight plug and ran the harness over to the pass side where I hooked it to the ballast and hooked the black ring connector to ground. Hooked up the ballast's and wire tied everything up and turned it all on, at first my high beams didnt work so I switched the diodes around until I got them all to work right. Also had to remove the jumper wire to get them to work right.

Do you still need instructions???

Mine work OK, except for the delay between highs and lows....my pass side light wont always re-light after going back to the lows from the highs. Other than that, my kit is great.

I just installed a kit on a buddys truck today that wasnt from Xenongate that was less than stellar. Didnt have the CAPS, diodes, or easy install as the Xenongate kit has. Got a immediate flickering and LAMP OUT, couldnt figure it out...finally decided to send it back and he bought a Xenongate kit.
