Xenon flares on an 06 or newer?

I picked up some Xenon flares for my 06. I did a test fit and found out they'll cover a small portion of the headlights cuz "Dr. Xenon" hasn't changed his design from the 05 model with the smaller headlights.

Anyone have them on their 06 or newer trucks?

Dr Xenon doesn't seem to think it's such a big deal, I'm just wondering if I'm the only one really bothered by this?

Hmmm, 31 views, no replies, maybe some pictures would help...

What would you do, live with it or get rid of them?

Here's the whole truck, I was going to paint tem 2 tone to match the truck so they don't stand out as much. Any phot shop pros here?
(Plan is to level and go to H2's with 315's eventually)

Yep they definately stand out!

I don't know..... I would probably have to send them back or get rid of them so that they follow the lines of the headlights. I've got a set of Bushwackers that look the same...... they just stop right at the base of the headlight.

i would be concerned that the adhesive would start peeling up by the headlights, and continue up the fender.

Hi Fisherguy,
Don't do it, you will always be looking at the corners that don't fit right, sale them to someone with an 05 or older.

Yeah, I'm thinking it will drive me nuts but probly the average Joe wouldn't even notice..

What surprised me was Xenon's response though. I emailed them, they know about it and make like its no big deal.

Anymore opinions on the Xenon fit?
(I've sent Dr Xenon a link to this thread)

Can you trim them w/ a dremel tool? Might be able to reshape the corner w/ a heat gun. Just throwing out some thoughts.

Not really, there's a recessed edge on the back of the flare for the 2 sided tape that holds it to the fender (or the headlight on an 06 I guess).

I'd get rid of them and get some that fit right. You're gonna paint em right?

Well I wasn't gonna leave them red!
Yah, if I ever put flares on they'll be 2 toned to match.

Haha, ya figured that, just making sure. I actually saw a silver truck driving down the road with red fender flares, red bumpers, and red steps, and it looked terrible, so you never know
