Newsweek and MSNBC have posted a poll up for people to rate Obamas first fifty (50) days and I thought it would be fun to try it here on DTR. Please rate Obama's Performance for his first fifty (50) days and if you want, give us some reasons why you voted the way you did.

Were is F , D is not low enough ?[coffee]

I could only list four (4) options on this poll. I gave Obama a "D" but would have made it an "F" if that were an option.

Why? Well here is a "short list" of my reasons:

1.) Unemployment is now at 8.1%. 651,000 unemployment claims in the month of February and the Labor Department has said those numbers are ONLY the jobless that have actually FILED! They feel the ACTUAL NUMBER could be as high as 10%! And I feel it will go higher.

2.) The Dow (Stock Market) has reached lows not seen since the early
1980's. Last week it dropped below 7,000 and has been near 6,500.

3.) Obama has both nominated and staffed his Cabinet with tax cheats and dishonest people. He has yet to fill all of the positons in the Treasury Dept.

4.) Obama's Administration seems determined to go after our 2nd Amendment
Rights.

5.) Obama has said he is going to raise capital gains taxes and individual rates on people with incomes of $250,000.00 or higher. In doing this he is going after the very people (such as small business owners) who hire people and ADD AND HELP our economy at a time when we need it the most![duhhh]

Believe me, there is alot more too....................................

i gave him a d,if there was an f i would give him that.i did not vote for him,i hoped he would do what is best for the country,i am not so sure he is doing so.i also saw he plans major cuts to the farm bill...

I mostly agree with that.
We've always had deficit spending but in a time where our deficit is so large to increase that spending by such a great number and top it off by the fact that this spending does nothing for the economy is in fact irresponsible and completely insane!!

I did not give him an "F" as much as I would dearly like to. Trying to maintain a little intellectual integrity, he's only started and the current economic situation is not of his doing. (That is another thread) Being honest, if we were in this situation now, but came from a Demo prez to a new Repub prez, we would be throwing the blame on the old Demo prez. Have to be consistent (although I do not blame all this on Bush, he does have to bear some responsibility-- for instance all those Demo spending bills he did not veto)

Also, however cleverly packaged and falsely polished, he is maintaining his image amongst the sheeple which shows two things: Most people are truly ignorant or truly blind.

Indeed! Took a Country ravaged by the treaty of Versailles, (and a horrific war) and put everyone to work, for the Goverment, with money printed that had no real value, Disarmed his Civilian population, Made criminals his highest ranking Generals, And then attempted to take over the World.
