worth upgrading rims?
i was wondering what your opinion was on rim size. i plan on sticking to a 17" rim but going with a 315 tire. is it even worth buying an aftermarket 17, or should i just stick with the stock 17s? id like to bump up to a 20 or something, but ill probably hang around the 17" mark, i like the bigger side wall. whats your take on it?

I would like to upgrade to new rims, but it's for appearances sake only. The stock 17's are a decent looking rim and can handle a good sized tire. I have so much I want to do to the truck first. I'm going to save my money. Rims can wait. If you want to stand out from the crowd get them. Also, finding the correct backspace and offset in a style you like seems to be a pain in the butt with these trucks.

Look at the centerlines! They are 8.5" wide but do not stick out. I have pics in my gallery. The name has changed since I bought these rims but I like them and they solved the center wear i was having with 315 tires.

If you have the 8x17" aluminums I would stay with them. I have 35" tires on my factory Aluminum 8x16's and they work well. With your 17's you would have even less sidewall to deal with and get an even better look and ride!
