Is it worth it IYHO?

I'll be doing a VP44 replacement soon, so I want to know if is it worth it to install a new set of injectors at the same time? In other words, would it save time to do the injectors at the time of a VP44 install?

How difficult is it to do an injector swap?

I found a set of NEW Bosh 300 hp injectors for $300. Is this a good deal?

Thanks for your help!

I don't know how much time you'd save, as far as I can see, the only common parts that come off in both jobs is the fuel lines, and bleeding the fuel system when you're done. But with that said, if you're already under the hood, may as well do it.

Injectors are easy, hour and half job.
But you might want to do the VP44 and LP first then do the injectors after you make sure everything goes good.
Here is a vid done by Diesel-dan if you need it.

I learned the hard way... all things being equal... I'm always better off doing one change at a time!
It gives me a better reading on the effects of that change...and if something isn't right when I test drive... I know exactly where to look.
In this case... probably not a serious consideration but maybe worth thinking about.... especially since I don't see a big time savings by doing them together!

Spot on, I was going to say, do the VP44 one weekend and drive it a week before doing the injectors, that way if there is a problem with one or the other, you will know it, without having to figure out which one is the culprit.

And if you did do them, at the same time, you would only save about 15-20 minutes of getting the air horn, apps and injector line nuts out of the way.
