What in the world was that? (edited)
I was getting on the highway today, and as most of you have probably read I think my tranny is starting to go.
I was doing about 65 on the on-ramp, and I put my foot on the floor. The truck did accelerate, but I also heard/felt this horrible vibration. Is it my TC going bad?

Thats kinda what I'm asking... what does that feel like?
I was doing around 65, put my foot on the floor, and there was this heavy vibration, and a low sound. It was some kind of shudder, whether or not its TC shudder I don't know.
As soon as I let off the throttle it was fine. I floored it a few more times and it did the same thing.

i'd check you tranny fluid. is it burned? or is it nice and red? block the tires, put the tranny in neutral, climb under and chech the drive shaft, ujoints, pinons yokes etc. also check all wheel bearing. i doubt those are your problem, but every one egnores 'em anyways, so i'd check. if not anything i've mentioned so far, drain the tranny. pull the pan and check for metal on the bottom.
i forgot to mention. check the fluid in the diffs or diff if you're a 2x.

if it's the diff, you'd usually hear a whine, or metal on metal... i'd say u-joints, or TC are about ur best bet, most likely somthin in ur tranny since u said it was already acting up.

yeah i will agree with you Box5. i'm actually leaning more towards u-joints. I seriously doubt it's the diffs. but i actually just like to check the fluids while under my vehicle. just basic pm

Yeah I'm guessing thats it.
So, its looking like I'm going to need a new tranny/get this one rebuilt.
Suggestions of sites that I can check out?
