Talking WOOOHOOOO I finally ordered it....BHAF

Well in a week I will have my BHAF!! I just ordered a Fleetguard BHAF! WIth tax it cost me $48! The prices of these things vary so much. I mean I went to a Cummins Power Systems facilty and they quoted me about $65. I have heard some guys getting them for around $35. I got mine at a truck center that deals with CAT,CUMMINS,INTRNTL,KENWORTH,etc.

The sad part though are the 5" chrome stacks that were sitting in front of the counter. I was foaming at the mouth. They were calling my name. The wife hated them though. For some reason she loves the look and sound of my truck but she hates stacks SHe says "don't make your truck look like a tractor trailer. This is coming from someone that loves shiny chrome parts on a SLT. I Said "well it sounds like one, it should look like one

AM I RIGHT???

Change is best served in small increments. Straight pipe it first. Then run the stacks!

Alls I have to do is put in a new kitchen sink and faucet, then I can stack mine!

Must remember - sink first, then stacks....sink first, then stacks....sink first, then stacks!

It's a big rig air filter which replaces the stock filter and air box. It attaches directly to the turbo inlet hose and provides additional surface area for filtering and air intake. Big Hokin Air Filter. It also allows the sound of the turbo to be heard more easily.

I am in the same situation here. My wife doesn't like stacks. I want a set. I don't know how to convince her. Congrat on the BHAF. I put one in and wow. Love hearing that turbo whistle.

Don't forget to cover that rascal up, www.outerwears.com makes a nice cover PN WR3325-105. The WR is weather proofed, and at the end you specify color. BK(black, RD(red) ect.

Dr. Evil-
the marine version is the one you are talking about and it is in the neighborhood of 140.00.

Similar situation here, baby on the way, house fixing, then the truck!!

Dr Evil I gave both faciltys the same part no. Never mentioned a marine version though. Neither one offered any other brands other than Fleetguard either.

The first guy I talked to looked astonished that this filter can go in our trucks!!

BHAF prices do vary quite a lot depending on the part of the country.

My Fleetguard was right around 55 from Cummins Intermountain's parts counter.
Marine would have been around 110, if they would have had one in stock.
