I started a thread about a week ago asking about a squeak I had that seemed to be related to the transmission. At low speeds, in gear, especially in reverse I'd have a high pitched squeal.

Well, my noise is gone, but it's been replaced with a severe wobble at low speeds. Driving home from work the other day my truck shook pretty hard any time I had to slow down and on take off (about 10-15 miles of in town driving). Didn't seem to matter if I was in gear or in neutral.

For the past 2 days the problem seems to be slightly better, but its still there. I don't get the same vibration at EVERY stop now, but its a mix of a lower intensity vibe and occasionally a bolt rattling shake.

I took it in when I first noticed the squeaking and the dealer couldn't find anything. I have an appointment to get it looked at tomorrow. I think it may be a problem with the ball joints, but its just a shot in the dark. I'd like to go into the dealership tomorrow a little better prepared... so does anyone have any ideas?

Mine did the same thing. It was my u joints. It's really noticable at take-off and was just a slight surging vibration at cruising speeds.

mine did that too.. 2 new u-joints on the rear shaft fixed it good... it got so bad when i drove it from home to the dealer, i had to drive in 4x4 to keep the stress off the rear shaft so it wouldn't shake out my fillings.. it is so nice now to not have that squeek in the driveline anymore..
