the boost pressure IMO is one of the least needed gauges. However, it does make troubleshooting boost leaks rather easy.

the pyrometer, trans temp (for an auto) and fuel pressure (exp. for a 24v) are the 3 most important. So go ahead and get them

The boost gauge isn't the most important - it's just the most fun to watch!

.... until you get a TIP gauge.

When I bought my truck it only had a Fuel pressure gauge mount on the A-pillar. So I got a dash mounted 3-pod holder. I like it b/c its different then most others... everybody and their brother runs the A-pillar. So now I'm able to monitor Fuel pressure, boost, trans temp, and EGTs.

I know I've seen trucks with more then 4 gauges... what are some other commonly monitored things?

Is it just 9 gauges, or is there more I'm missing?

Well, just 12 (2 digital) we installed inside the cab (TIP gauge not shown in this photo), but 4 more under the hood.

... that's why you DON'T want to be the smallest guy on our pit crew! (no wonder we had to shield the Race box's harness - too much EMI from the cell phone of the poor slob stuck with "underhood duty" )

Cougsfan:

Fuel Pressure
Intake Boost
EGT
Hot Pipe Temp
Rail Pressure
Drive Pressure
Oil Temp
Hot Pipe Boost
Tranny Temp
Oil Pressure
Water/Meth Pressure
Diff Temp
Hobbs Pressure
Airhorn Temp
LineLok Pressure
Coolant Pressure

Hmm - seems like there was another one!?

Wow... although I don't see how you could actually read the ones on the right of the dash either though.
