Wish that I had taken better care

I’ve been on crutches sense the 10th and have spent pretty much the last four days at the computer.
I feel as if I have wasted two weeks and will have to waste another two weeks before I can get off these things. Knee surgery is….. er uh not fun. The vet says that if I stay on them (crutches) most likely I will be able to get by without having any more surgeries for at least ten more years. It all depends on how I treat the knee.
All in all it’s a pretty helpless feeling. My son is having to come down every week and put hay out for me ( (can’t climb on the tractor ).
The best thing is that he has decided that the boys are old enough (8 and 5) to start shooting a 22 rifle. That was fun. We set up about 25 yards from the target and they where still missing a paper plate about half the time. But they had fun and it surely did help my disposition. Absolutely nothing like watching kids learn to shoot and learn the fundamentals of safety.
Also it looks at this point like I may make the last weekend of deer season.

Sounds good. Do what the doc say's, they do that kind of thing every day.

I would consider your time an investment rather than "waste" a waste would be if you had he surgury and then disregaurded the doc's orders and negated the work done by moving on it too quickly. Take your time, a 10 year projection is worth a few weeks of inactivity.

I have a revolving type (shoot to reset) .22 target I got from one of those cheapo outdoor magazines. I think it was around $25.00. It has ben alot of fun, I just replace the high vis. stickers every time we shoot. Very safe too, it keeps everone away from the targets, you know when you hit or miss a steel target.

That target I have had good luck with:

Good Luck.
