Wireless Air and Pacbrake bags

Ordered the new wireless air controller and pump from airlift but I liked the Pacbrake bags better so I ordered a set of them. I got the bags in yesterday and it says that the minumum pressure should be 10 psi but the controller will air down to 5 psi. Will 5 psi hurt the bags? I'll also bet that 10 psi will cause a rough ride when unloaded. Any one have the Pacbrake bags and run them at 5 psi unloaded?

Thanks,
Mike

You will be fine with 5 psi.

Scratch that. Google found it in .2 seconds!

Argh, I wish there was a way to get it without a compressor. Looks like it costs about $350.....

Thanks for the replies.

I was going to order it from truckspring.com but I called 4wheel parts and they price matched it for $398. The bags took two days to get to my house but havn't heard anything from 4wheel parts yet. Looks to be a pretty slick set up with the pressures displayed on the remote.

Man that is slick. I'd love to have one. I'm just truck repair poor right now.

What did you like about those bag's over the Firestone's that made you get them.

Pacbrake had this display that showed a cut away of three bags (didn't label what brands they were) one had a 1/8" steel end caps and one had nylon end caps and the Pacbrake had a 1" aluminum end cap. Though I've never heard of encaps busting open. I'm a sucker for advertising I guess.

So did you get the wireless remote hooked up.

I'm curious how good it work's. I have a wireless remote for my winch. It suck's. There's about a 2 or 3 second delay when you let off,,,,it keep's going. Please tell me you isn't the same way. I could see that being really hard to get the air bag's adjust equally.

I'm still waiting to get the controller and compressor in. I called air lift late last week and they said it would be another week or two. They said it was because of the overwhelming response from this new product. Now I have the airllines coiled and zip-tied to the spare.

There may be a delay with the remote but I think you set your bag pressures with the remote and the computer on the valving will keep your pressures constant. If you set the bags to 25 psi it will dump or pump and keep it there.

I'm about to buy the Pacbrakes Airbags and the Wireless Air, but have a couple of questions. How beefy/stout are the airbag brackets? Also, I have a single pipe 5" exhaust system from MBRP. Am I going to have fitment issues? Lastly, any pics out there?

Thanks,

Sid

Well, everything is ordered and on the way, hope it all fits.

Newblue, thanks for the pics. Any chance of getting a closer pic of the bag and bracket up near the exhaust? Looking to see how much clearance you have.

Thanks,

Sid
