The P-1693 is a code to let you know a code was set in one of the other computers. It is known as a companion code.
P-0253---- Fuel Injection Pump Fuel Valve Open Circuit---Problem sensed with fuel circuit internal to fuel injection pump.
What kind of pressures are you seeing at the lift pump? The most important would be the pressure during WOT. It needs not to be less than 8psi.

P0216 is the kiss of death code for a VP44. Check all connections, dialectric grease em, and check ground. Also, did you go to fuse #17?

It is possible that you tapped the wrong pump wire, that is why I used a Blue Chip cover. HTH

I already have my Comp box installed with the wire pierced but am skeptical as to if I am getting the performance that I should. Where can I get this Blue Chip Cover from. I used to get a considerable amount of smoke from my truck with the box, but then I threw away the stock lift pump and Banjo bolts and installed a high pressure fuel system, now I don't get sqwuat for smoke from it. The pressure guage never goes below 12 pounds no matter what I do.

Hey Billg, thanks for the lead. Can you tell me more about how it works? Either the description is kinda vague on it or I'm just kind of a rock, but either way.

So is this a way to make it so that the dealer cannot detect any tampering with the wire? I am going to try to get mine warrantied but would love a way to pierce the wire on the new one without actually doing it!
