wire tap for gauges
I am installing pyro and tranny temp gauges an need to know which wire to tap into for switched 12v wire and light switch wire (color or harness location). Have 04.5 2500 QC SB. Thanks.

The cigarette lighter power wires are a good source of "ignition on" power for gauges. The light dimmer switch is held in place with expansion clips. Start at the corner next to the steering column, and pull outward. For 2004 & 2005 pin #2 orange wire with brown stripe.
