I cant imagine why youd want a 24V when you have a 12V....why dont you just bomb your 12V?? The 12 is so much more relaible....

At first i was confused on your comment and pry should change that, guess i never realized

the 97 is getting traded for the diesel its a 360 gasser

and obviously the 99 ctd is a 24v.

Reason for going newer is a short bed 12v is so hard to find.

had one found but missed out on the sale

had a 5spd short bed found too but wasnt gonna give 18k for a 190k mile truck that was that old.

Im aware of reliablity that everyone talks about buy my current 99 only had gauges, and presure never drops below 10psi its got 136k on it, all origional. owned it since new

Long bed IS a possibity, but i find that its a lil harder to drive and i dont need one

On the end of the pump toward the firewall there are two pairs of conductors. The lower pair is timing, the upper pair is metering. Piercing involves the wire closest to the engine in the upper pair.

There are pump covers that don't require removal of insulation on the conductors external to the pump. I've never used one, so someone else will have to tell you what to look for there.

awesome, so when im lookin for this, will it be stripped, or does it have one of those fancy conectors that just put a lil needle like pin through the wire?

The insulation could have a slice if a scotchlock was used, or a pinhole if the round pin style connector was used.
