Wiper Problem

On my truck the wipers only work on low and high. They dont work in intermediate. Any suggestions on what the problem might be. I have already changed the multi function switch. Thanks

I'm guessing here...

But on my Mom's 1996 and my 2002 Dodge I can hear what is like a rely click when the pulse is needed to make the wipers cycle. But I'm not sure where this is at... But first guess would be the wiper motor itsself. Also I would say the electronics of the timer are most likely in the wiper motor too.

Just a wild stab in the dark...

I'd think this points more to the CTM under the dash. (Located on the right side of the steering column, behind the knee bolster.)
Reason for this - wiper works on low and high, returns to park position, so no problem there. The intermittant function just pulses the low pin for the wiper motor and the motor itself is responsible for returning the wiper to park.
Just my 2c

You can "disable" the buzzer with a drill bit. Instructions should be around the web somewhere. (Didn't do it because I like the "ding" if some gage gets to a place where it doesn't belong. (Extremely winding mountain roads are too much fun to look at the gauges)

I was looking for a solution that gave me the "ding" for critical stuff but kept quiet if I opened the door, but would not let me forget the settings. For just the door it would have been easy- just splice a switch into the door switch so you caould choose whether the module knows the door is open or not. But if you forget it... empty batteries... (Not that this has ever happened to me )

by doing that you've lost all chimes, including seat belt, low fuel, and lights on. do search on 'chime' and/or 'intermittent wiper' for some stuff i wrote while working on intermittent wiper problem. i just wanted to eliminate the door open chime, you can jumper the door switch or you can unplug the small 2 wire connector on the igniton switch. just remove the covers and unplug it.
