Winter Front, whoops...

We had a cold snap a week or so ago so back on went the Winter Front. Then it warmed up.
Hooked on the 10,000 GVW, totally spacing out the
winter Front, and by the time I hit the edge of town my temp was playing roulette with the red on the gauge.

Anyway, I was lucky to have glanced at the gauge.

The stock gauges may be junk but get in the habit of using them anyway,. They may save your engine. They saved mine.

opposite for me....I hit the high 60s so I took i off....Then it went back to the 20's....I had to drive a lloooonngg way to get it hot

What exactly is a winter front? Does it warm up your motor quicker if its on?

A winterfront blocks the air from blowing in onto the radiator and engine compartment. Keepthing this cold air out drastically helps warm the engine up faster in cold climates.
