It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!

Windshield question.

What is the purpose of the black "mesh" at the top and bottom of the windshield. Why is it wider behind the rear view mirror?

My guess is it diffuses the light (reduces glare) i.e. when you are trying to look in the rearview mirror.

When I had my windshield replaced, they asked me on the phone did mine have the 3rd visor. So according to that company, it's to block out the sun.

It bridges the gap between the left & right sun visors.....to help block out the sun behind the mirror.
