Windows and stereo stay on after the key is removed and not running
All my other Dodges, and Jeeps did this. When you turn off your rig, (you can remove the key too) as long as you do not open a door, the windows can be operated and the stereo keeps playing for a certain programmed time. My 2006 3500 Big Horn SLT does not do this. Is there a way to program this? Or did Dodge forget this convient feature?
Of topic, but I have been searching other threads for TSB's etc to have done too. Any thing you suggest? I hear both ways on reflashing etc It is a DRW 3500 4x4 quad cab LB 6 speed. It only has 3500 miles. Only other things I noticed is:
#1 The clutch pedal seems to have a roughness to it. Not the clutch assembly itself per say, but the pedal you can feel with your foot the roughness.
#2 I have a set of reverse lights on my trailer, nothing fancy, but my '01 and '04.5 never had this problem like my '06 does of the BU lights momentarily cutting out and then coming back on when it is first put into reverse. This only happens when it is hooked up to the trailer.

Dodge feature it can not be disabled. Just open the door and they all go off. Other car companies have been doing this for years. D.Wiggs try it again. Shut truck off without opening door and pull key out. You still have power if you do not open the door

hmm I have not noticed this feature on my 06 SLT mega, you say they all should do this right??
I'm pretty sure mine does not leave the radio on but I don't know about the power for the windows.

My 06 never did until I enabled the features through the Bullydog triple dog. it was one of the things I missed about my ford, and one of the reasons I bought a bullydog.

Gotcha. I guess I expected a brand new $35K truck to work (I was hoping it just was un-educated dealers not programming these features) I will get in touch with a dealer and post up my results. I am keeping a tally so I can do it all this month all in one shot. Thanks Big Dave

On the interior lights, they DO NOT stay on. That is the problem, not that they stay on.
I think you misunderstood.......

This is a big pain in the A$$. Mine does this too. Open a door to grab some groceries and the lights go out on you. Hit the switch on the dash, same **** thing. Turn on the rear cargo light, yep same thing!!
I found if you hit the brakes, that they come back on, for another 5-10 seconds. I have to have my son sit in the seat and push the brakes for me if I want to try to do anything using the lights. I also notice it affects my door dinger too.
This has to be some malfunction. I mean 5-10 seconds! I will try to re-read my manual and post up if I find anything.
Oh yea, 2006 DWR 3500 4x4, purchased in 4-2006. 3500 miles on it.
Thanks still Big Dave

No, not yet anyway. I tried, but they didnt play well together and now my truck doesnt run quite as well as it did, the BD footprint in the ecm must be confusing the Banks. The truck is about .3 -.4ths slower in the 1/4 than before. Another member, twest, said he would help me get it stacked properly and he has had good results with it. Time and a lack of tranny mods($) have kept me from stacking the combo, but my patience is running thin. Also my buddy with BD/CL just had to have Goerends do his tranny on his 06 QC, so I am leery of problems. But, he also routinely does 20-30psi boost launches, so that MAY (haha) have had something to do with his failure. He gave me a ride yesterday and that thing really comes off the line! BTW I watched the mechanical boost guage when he launched and couldnt hardly believe he didint break something.

my cargo light shuts off but only after about 5 min's with it on. I did not think much of it, thought it was a way to save the battery from getting drained.
I'm confused
