Window tint pictures

I am having my front windows done next week. I am trying to decided between 35% (legal) and 20% on the front windows. I am trying balance matching the back windows, cooler interier and getting a ticket. Could I get a few examples of 35% and 20% so I can compare? Let me know what you have in your post. Thanks for your help.

Id do 20%.

The darker the better. I need to get around to tinting my front windows too, Ill end up matching the back so I dont have to tint the backs as well. I used to have 15% on the sides and 5% on the back of my old Trans Am, never had a problem with the police and it looked great

Just dont go too dark, as itll make nightime driving harder, less visibility, then again, with these huge windows on these trucks, it shouldnt be bad....

I have the legal (35% I assume) on the driver/pass doors. You can see that it looks the same from some angles and slightly different from others. I wouldn't think that the hassles from LEOs or inspection stations would be worth the illegal shade. But that's just me.

Those look darker than 35% based on the pictures. There is a big difference between the 20% and 35%. 20% will match your rear windows perfectly.

I wish 35% were legal here in MN. Then my 20% wouldn't look so dark compared to legal 50%. I recommend 20% and just roll your windows down before the cops gets to the side of the vehicle.

Dark

I was thinking the same thing that they looked darker than 35%. If I could be insured 35% would look that dark I would go with that. I guess it depends on angle, light and brand of tint. 50% is nothing. You are a lucky guy if you have 20% and legal is 50%. You better knock on wood .

They asked me if I wanted legal or 20%. I chose legal. Like I said, it may have to do with the angles. You can see a difference in the 2nd pic. Most inspection stations around here (NC) are checking tint with a light meter, so it was not worth it to me. Reality is, any tint looks better than none.

I had mine done w/35% initially. Half the time, depending on the light, you almost couldn't tell they were tinted. Went back and had them rip that off and do 20%. Looks MUCH better!

I agree with this poster, 35%, which I had on my old truck, was too light.

Personally, I like the looks of this, although night vision sucks, even in the city, and it is 5% all the way around, over stock tint and all:
