Why not 4.10's
I'm running 35's with 3.73s and an fully billet auto. My problem is that I fell like I'm lugging my turbo at speeds below 70. At 60mph, I'm at about 1450rpms, I'm at 1700 at 70mph. I'm shy of 1900 at 80. This just seems really low to me. If I'm in slower traffic and my speed drops down to 60, if I have to speed up, it's either pushing the tow/haul, or really stomping to drop a gear. When I'm pulling my boat, same thing....the truck will yank the trailer out from under the boat, but if I'm below 70, feels sluggish and boggs the turbo? what gives....?

Your only real option is loose the tires or regear to 4.10....that'll put you real close to what a 3.73 truck does with stock tires.....and you'll be right where it should be at 60-75 and for acceleration...

MEGARAMASAUR,
I'm kinda suprised, I was thinking that foresure my next sweetheart is going to have the 3.42's
I cant say that the 4.10's need to be offered with the amount of torque these motors make..............................................
If 3.73's would have been available fairly close by when I made the purchase I would have 'em!!!!!
I suppose with the 35's and 3.73's you are closer to the 3.42 range of gearing, sound's like you were happier with the 265's / 3.73 gear set-up, which makes sense.

If your above 70, she runs like a scalded dog becuase the turbo will spool and she'll git. but between lockup (52) and 65, it's a smoking pig....unless it downshifts

Pulling heavy with an auto/2wd 4.10 gears is the only way to go in my opinion. Pulls great.... 3.42 gears may be useful with the G56's higher OD but not the auto. Just my opinion.
