whos running the silver bullet 66?
it looks like a great deal has come my way and im not going to pass on it. i am getting the silver bullet and for the next couple months just going to be running it with the jammer 4s and edge box. i plan on stepping up to either a hrvp44 or 200+ injectors and the adrenaline stacked with whatever. my question is am i going to be able to spool it with my current set up? my concern is really egts, spool up isnt that important but if its that bad then i might be wanting the new nozzles asap. any help would be great. and any advice on nozzles would be great as well.

What gears does your truck have? I ran one with 150 stix and it wasnt fun had to run od off on any kind of hill because it would go straight to 1600 unless i kept it at 2200rpm or more. If your converter is the low stall one definately not the best set up with out more power. It was easyiest to drive when i had 200hp stix in.

im getting a really good deal its only costing me 400 bucks!!! i found some injectors on ebay and have been talking to a guy tht uses them in a twins set up. its just the nozzles and they are 390 bucks. i might save for those. but im deffinetly going with 200 stix wen i can. i wanted the bell but when i found out the size i knew i was going to out grow it and want more. but it would have been a bad unit. im still kinda wondering but i know when i get the new injectors i will be happy with the SB

Definitely laggier. I would run my truck up to 2500 before shifting, even in just reg city driving. Not much bottom end with it. For a daily driver, I wouldn't reccomend it, since its not nearly as snappy, and will cause much more smoke before spooling. If you are racing/pulling/dynoing, it will be a good turbo though. Running on the highway up hills, egt's never were an issue. Might have hit 1000 up a hill, which is pretty good for a charger that size. My 62 would do the same thing. I'd get a nice haze whenever going up a hill, but I think that had more to do with the injectors than the turbo.

yea i can see some high egts with the jammer but thats in heat going up hill with everything full power. plus i can always get the 64 comp wheel for it and just dyno with the 66 correct? and most of my driving is to work and back cruising at 60 on flat ground so the only time i will need spool is when i want it.

Any injector over 200 with a big single will be smokey untill turbo lights or you ease out of the throttle. You kind of have to learn how to drive the truck again with that setup.

If you just daily drive your truck, I wouldnt go with a 66. If you pull, thats a different story. If you haul loads with it, definately stay away from the 66.
A 62/71/14 would be a great turbo for an automatic daily driver and should make 550+hp no problem with good spool and still have the ability to tow if you need to.
It all depends on what you are doing though.

my goal is going to be 600hp. how about a cam that will def help spool and keep smoke down for dd right? i think i need to define my daily driving i drive on one road a day and the speed limit is 55mph either then that its on long highway trips. any clue on what will happen with my boost since i will still be running the jammer 4s till i get the money for the new injectors. will i need to adjust the wastegate down? im hitting 42psi now.

At 55mph in OD, my truck is an absolute dog. It doesn't start to run until 2k rpm, so keep that in mind. I am surprised at how clean the truck drives for 250+hp injector and 66 turbo, but make no mistake, it is not smoke free. Even just light acceleration, or maintaining highway speed up a hill produces a nice haze.

My truck is my daily driver. When I first installed my 66 I didn't like it.
After awhile you learn how to drive with it. If I take off with light foot
no problem with smoke. On my truck it will start to spool at 1700.
I,m happy with mine.

Need to keep in mind that the CR engines will light turbos MUCH easier than 12v/24v will.
