Who's running exhaust brakes with 48RE?
Called Cummins about having an exhaust brake installed. Service Mgr said Dodge had a bulletin out not to install these on 2003 models and up because of transmission problems. Want to know if you're running an exhaust brake with heavy loads, how many miles you've got with them, what mods have you done to the tranny, any problems you've run into.
Thanks-

I have heard that if you use a exhaust brake on the 48re the trust washer for the back pressure on the trans.goes bad. They at Dodge have been working on it and talked about it and needs more oil.
Do a search and andyou should find alot of reading.
