Grid heaters cycling?
Is it doing it in time with your voltmeter jumping up and down?

it normally does it in the cold, and it either starts right when i turn on the truck or when i press on the breaks. the voltmeter isn't jumping.

Sounds like bad connections, or low voltages. Could be due to Grid Heaters, but I see my volts drop when they cycle.

When you first start the truck, that is normal, if it happens when you hit the brakes, that is bad. I would check with a voltmeter when you hit the brakes to see if the voltage/amps are dropping.
