Change your fuel filter. I had two injectors replaced that were leaking down when the engine was off. A couple of days later it was blowing smoke again. Changed the fuel filter and it cleared up and no problems since.

Well the old man on his way back with my truck an getting 13.5 now with a new filter. Can't wait to drive it again I have been driving his 1996 dodge short bed with a 318 it is a gas hog. I miss my school bus. And the sound of a diesel right now. He said it puffed a little bit but not as bad as it did so we will see when hes back i'm lad mpg went up his fuel log showed he was getting 12.8 on the tank when he left Illinios an the last tank was 9.8 so hopfully it was the filter.

mine blows smoke all the time, runs smooth though, once in a while it stumbles at idle, but for the 99% of the time idles and drives great. If i get on it a little it will fog out the car behind me. Is this normal ? Ive read both yes and no...is it the cat thats causing it to smoke? my 99 never smokes.
