whirring/chirping/squeaky sound at full throttle?

Hi all,

I don't know if this sound has been there all along because I only notice it when I have the windows up and radio off, but at full throttle, I hear a slight "ticking/squeaking/chirping/whirring" kinda sound for about a second and then it seems like as soon as the turbo has fully spooled up it goes away and just makes the usual turbo singing. Sorry for the odd description but I don't know how else to describe it other than maybe it sounds like a bird chriping rapidly under the hood. It sounds like it's coming from near the firewall right in the center, but I can't be sure. The engine still makes full power and performs normally. Any ideas on this one or am I worrying unnecessarily?

Oh, my engine is bone stock except for an MPC Eliminator Pipe between the airbox and turbo. I also recently switched from using Fleetguard air filters to that new Mopar large-pleat air filter, so maybe the new filter allows more intake noise?

No one has any ideas?

Since yesterday, I've been trying to run it hard (doing the Italian tuneup thing). I can't hook up to pull a load right now, but I've been trying to run it harder while unloaded. It is performing like a champ, starts fine, and no white or black smoke at all. Now the noise is constantly present when at a moderate-load, such as when I'm going 75mph on the interstate. If I punch it up, the noise goes away and it sounds normal. Same thing if I let off the throttle or I'm at lower speeds (lighter-load). I tried snugging up the blue rubber isolators on the injector lines. They were a bit loose, but it didn't seem to help with the noise. My guesses at this point are 1) failing injector (these are 10-month-old reman'd injectors with a 12 month warranty), 2) head gasket, 3) turbo is on its way out.
