which exhaust

I am upgrading the exhaust on my '97 12 valve and am trying to decide between 5" MBRP and 6" Bully Dog. I will be running either one without a muffler/resonator/ or cat and want the absolute loudest.

many thanks again

As far as sound levels 4 inch would be the loudest but a 5 or 6 would have a lot deeper drone to it. It all depends on the song your ears wanna hear as to which route to go.

I'd go with a 5". 6" would be nice too but you'd have clearance issues. With my 5", I barely clear my spare tire. I also have a 4" downpipe and it barely clears between the engine and frame. On sharp U-turns, I can hear the downpipe hitting the frame since the frame flexes a bit. And believe me, straight pipe is LOUD!

When I have my straight pipe on with the passenger window down, it can be ear piercing loud. I think any straight pipe is as loud as u need, lol, the bigger tube is just deeper loud.
