crazy larry gone but not forgotten

Bully dogs update agent has been down for sometime and there customer service is real s*^@. However there is some guys on here that can email the crazy larry tune, maybe they will chime in. I asked bullydog the other day when the update would be working and crazy larry would be available again and I was told april or may??? I waited and waited on the phone yesterday to get a part from bullydog to find out that they gave me a part number that doesnt exist.

I am sick of hearing that the BDTD doesnt hold a candle to the Smarty!

I have yet to see any one beat my dyno numbers with the smarty with stock cp3, turbo, and injectors. Not saying it hasn't been done but nothing to be able to truley claim the Smarty is by far a better programer. I am sure the smarty is a great product and seems to have really good tech support so im not knocking it just tired of the claims that it is soooooooooooo much better. You read enough of it around here you start thinking its going to get you a raise, hot chicks beating down your door and your worldly troubles will all disappear.

HAHAHA I couldn't have said it better myself. I agree, I'm sick of reading it, Every single person that rants about it is completely bias to the product they own. I love my bullydog, because its what I run. I have been beat by trucks with smarty's. Its ok. Its your choice, not mine.

I'm not bias by any means because I have both the Smarty and a Triple Dog. That being said I like the shift on the fly of the TD but I've got to say my truck runs better with the Smarty. I don't care what dyno numbers say, to me it's not just about peak HP its how it runs daily. My only complaint with BD is their horriable customer service (I'm still waiting for my phone call to be returned from 2005 when I loaded the programmer on my truck and it locked up.) and the fact that they discontinued CL and have so far not offered anything to replace it. But the best thing to happen to BD so far is Bud Kuntz, he's done more so far on here to improve the public view of their company than any ad space they could have paid for. Since I bought my Smarty I haven't used my TD, not that I don't like it but with all the different options that I can try with the new Smarty REVO programming I haven't wanted to go back, even without the "on the fly" settings.

I would still recommend the triple dog to anyone that just wants a programmer and is never going to need all the settings that is currently available with the Smarty.
I have 4 versions of Crazy Larry saved if anyone wants them. If BD won't service their customers at least some of us can try.

I just purchased a used Power Pup on Ebay and cant wait to play with it. I realize its old news but its new to me and i'm sure i'll love it! The whole Smarty thing is great and all but in my opinion the only way to go is with the adjust on the fly. I guess time will tell.

Sorry to continue the hijacking!!

Don't worry man.. Your call is very important to them and they will get to you in the order your call was received. 2005? hahaha..

Shift on the fly is cool.. I have to agree. However I prefer big linear power bands that pull from idle to redline. For me I don't care about changing power levels much. I set it and forget it.

um.....unless somethings changed since the last time I've messed with bullydog parts, I don't think you have the "shift on the fly" options with the power pup. Only the Triple Dog. Sorry to burst your bubble.

I think Smarty or Big Brother, (aka. EPA) scared Larry into a dark cave. All of the Bully engineers are working on the big rig products and have forgotten about us.
