Where's the BOOOOST?

So I have my 06 with the SMARTY (standard edition) and my MP8 on the truck. I'm running my MP8 with my Commander (Beta Testing) and only on level 1 or 2 (10-20hp). I can't get my boost above 30 psi, which is a spike. I thought the MP8 would boost fool and get me into the mid to upper 30's? What am I missing here? By the way I love this combo and the truck drives great, but the SMARTY does seem to smoke a little more on this 06 then it did on my 03? I was running level 9 on the 03 with the TST and I think the SMARTY smokes about the same on level 3 on my 06? What's up with that? Thanks for the help.

MP-8 does NOT boost fool. It reads the boost pressure and adds fuel acordingly. Turn the boost limiter off on the TST. I can hit 50 if I turn mine off.

Are you hooked up to the correct wire on the TS harness for reading boost?

If the mp8 doesnt do boost fooling, are you using the smarty aftermarket turbo software? The standard smarty software does not boost fool...must use aftermarket turbo software.....you wont have a prob with boost!

Yes, I switched the the wire tape to the MP8 harness. I pretty sure it's picking up the correct number. It almost sounds like I need to change to the SMARTY program that boost fools? I still have the stock tranny so I don't want to run the power up too high. I would just like to see a little extra boost. Thanks guys.....

my '06 does the same thing. I've got the boost fooling smarty software loaded, and the highest my commander has ever read was 32psi on any of the smarty levels, even with the XZT hooked up.

not sure what else to check at this point.

I am not running any special software at all I do know that the commander on my truck won't read over 32 psi either? Maybe quad can help on this? My analog guage which is tapped into the boost elbow is where I am getting the 40+ reading. Should be 50+ with the new turbo this afternoon!

When did you (e-train, sixpack) get your Commanders?
We had some go out towards the end of March that had a diode for overvoltage protection that was the wrong value. It does not hurt anything it just was keeping the boost numbers down in the 32-34 range.

If you can get me a serial number I can tell you if your Commanders are from that lot. If they are I can either tell/show you how to fix it or we can fix it for you!

This was sort of a pain. The reel the parts came on had the right part# on them. The part is marked correctly but, it is the wrong value?? go figure?

If you dont have any other type of boost fooler, yes, you need to update to the aftermarket turbo version of smarty....that's the only way (using smarty only) that you'll get more than 32psi of boost.
