backspace backspace backspace.
Rim size is not important. you can run up to 35" tall tires on stock rims ( toyo MT's with minor rubbing)
No rubbing with the same size tire- you will need a 9" rim with a +25mm offset ( 5.98" of backspacing. I was fit up with my tire combo but in the +15mm ( 5.39" offset) and it rubbed. I have no fitment issues-no cutting or rubbing.
You can't have too wide of a rim with too little offset. it won't fit without rubbing.

I have 35/12.50/17 Interco Vortracs on H2 wheels with stock suspension and they stick out probably 3/4-1" and only rub when backing up and turning. Even then its just barely on the mud flap. Im going to get a leveling kit as soon as I decide which one. They look good and ride real quiet.

The tires stick out too much for my liking, they throw crap all over the side of my truck, especially when off road so I\m putting some flares on with clear 3M coating under them so they don't eat through the paint.

I had my last set in mud but not to actually do anything, just driving through a dirt lot. They loaded up real quick but I was going slow. I hope that in the future if I NEED them to work for me that they will clean out with some wheel speed.
