Wheel bearing questions

Tried to replace the inner and outter wheel bearings but they don't fit. Part number is the same timkin bearing that was in there. But they don't fit. Got some Napa bearings that are the same part number but still don't fit. The one that was on it almost slides on and off but the new ones wont go on at all. The guys at the base hobby shop are stumped too. I dont know what to do. Anybody got anyideas?

Just went through this.

Take a micrometer, and make sure that the bearings are the same.

Then, if they are, take some emory cloth and polish the spindle. If you're replacing the bearings because the original bearing fell apart, then what happens sometimes is the spindle gets galled by the bearing pieces, such as in the case of my new 92.

I emory cloth polished the spindle, and test fitted the new bearing before I put it in the hub. I was doing the Right rear bearings at the time.

Only takes a small nick to stop the bearing from sliding on, due to clearances.

And I also installed the Napa bearings as well. F-in crap is all made in china regardless of where you buy it now. Truly disappointing.

Timken were the wronge size too. I used the emeri cloth also. Sat there and rubbed and rubbed and rubbed for a couple hours. I ended up reusing the old inner. Found my issue was the old locking hub had locked in and the cap busted so it stayed and burned out. Replaced that with a Warn hub and good as new.
